Description
Lot of Two Ebony Handled Dirk Daggers.Comprising: 1) Approximately 10-inches overall with 4 3/4-inch spearpoint blade. Modern blade and design. Fitted with an etched silver scabbard of floral pattern and designs. Bolster and pommel etched as well in the style. Round quillons adorn both sides of the guard. 2) Approximately 8 1/2-inches overall with a 4 1/4-inch spearpoint blade. Blade fully etched with floral pattern on both sides. Skull and Bones etching visible on ricasso and winged motif obverse. Masonic symbolism. Steel round quillons adorn steel guard. Ebony handle of simple design with false pommel cap groove design.
Condition: 1) Good to very good as configured. Contemporary features. Toning to silver inlays/etching pattern. Handle with scuffs and dings. 2) Very good for its age. Blade with wear and spotting, etching light but visible. Handle with various small nicks and bumps overall. A well made dirk.
