Hilt and grip also mint, the brass showing wonderful mellow patina. Scabbard near perfect with smooth pleasing gray patina and just a few tiny patches of salt and peppering, negligible. Absolutely no dents or nicks. Without question one of the finest examples extant, and especially desirable with this Mexican War date.
