Publisher's grey cloth with titles stamped in gilt on the front board. Wear to the edges of the boards. Some scuffing to the board and the spine is sunned a bit. Portrait of Hubbard used as a frontispiece. Ownership inscription on the front free endpaper.
The author was attached to Company E of the 7th Tennessee Regiment of Nathan Bedford Forrest's cavalry.
