Publisher's green cloth with floral pattern and titles stamped in gilt. Slight lean to book. Scuffed boards worn at the edges. Repairs to the joints. Contents sound with a few old, small oval library stamps scattered throughout and a "Watsonville Free Public Library" label on the front pastedown. Appears to have once been a pocket affixed to the rear pastedown.

Eggleston was a young officer in the First Virginia Cavalry.
