Two Acts of Parliament concerning the Navy and Naval Affairs which have been specially bound for King George III. Small square quarto. 62 pages.

Full polished dark blue morocco, embellished with gilt-tooled Star, Garter, Royal Motto, royal initials (G. .RIII), and other designs. Inner dentelles. Marbled endpapers. Bookplate on the front pastedown of the First Earl of Munster, son of William IV and his mistress, Dorothy Jordan, thus making him a grandson of George III. Also present are four other bookplates, three armorial, and one bearing the name of noted book collector J. R. Abbey. Dealer catalogue blurb has been pasted to front free endpaper. In custom clamshell box with leather title label to spine ("Acts of Naval Affairs, 1780. Bound for George III."), and leather label to front panel bearing Abby's name. Near fine.
