Will James: With an Excellent Six-Line Inscription from Will James, in a Handsome First Edition Copy of Lone Cowboy: My Life Story. By Will James. Illustrated by the Author. (New York, London: Charles Scribner's Sons, 1930). First edition, inscribed, signed and dated by the author on the front pastedown endpaper: "Nov 22 '30 / To Marcelle Hahner / Wish you'd been here / today-I took four / drinks and et two / onions--- Bill James-30. Octavo (8.25" x 5.5"). x, 431 pages. Illustrated with superb western line drawings by the author. Publisher's green cloth, pictorially stamped in black on the front cover, and lettered in gilt on the front cover and spine. Front board and spine with abrasions and rubbing (moderate insect damage), otherwise a very good copy. Housed in a quarter morocco book-backed slipcase with the spine in compartments with five raised bands, and lettered and tooled in gilt.View all of [The Chris Kortlander Collection ]
