Imperial folio. 236 pages. Illustrations by the author and frontispiece by Sir J. E. Millais. Half bound in crimson morocco over cream boards with black-stamped titles and vignettes of sable and kudu antelope on front board. Gilt-stamped titles and decoration on spine. Printed on handmade deckle edge paper for this extra large format. Top edge gilt. Foxed boards show wear with some soiling. Spine lightly rubbed and bottom corners bumped. Some foxing to plates and minor offsetting throughout. Light toning to page edges. A much sought-after title in this format with wonderful illustrations. Very good.
