UNTRACED, LIMITED EDITION. SIGNED BY THE AUTHOR on the title page. Includes the limitation page found in the Phantasia Press limited edition of Neuromancer that was produced in the same year as this edition (unnumbered).
Alex Berman, at this point the sole operator of the Phantasia press, produced this edition without public notification and was never offered for sale by the publisher. Five copies bound in leather were produced, two were inlaid with a microchip. Offered here is one of two "microchip" copies of Gibson's cyberpunk classic.
A design tour de force, this striking binding transforms Gibson's Neuromancer into a physical expression of its own cyberpunk ethos. The integration of mounted circuitry into a finely executed leather binding, reflects both technical ingenuity and conceptual precision, marrying form and content with dramatic success.
