Ray Bradbury. Fahrenheit 451. New York: Ballantine Books, Inc., [1953].8vo. Publisher's red cloth, spine and front board stamped in yellow (Currey's binding D). Original illustrated dust jacket.
FIRST EDITION IN HARDCOVER. PRESENTATION COPY, INSCRIBED BY THE AUTHOR on the front free endpaper: "For / Gunther Swain / this book which was not burned - from / the "Fireman" himself - / Ray Bradbury / 3/21/64."
Condition: Edgewear and rubbing to extremities, a few stains to fore-edge. Dust jacket unclipped (priced "$2.50"), spine a bit sunned, some edgewear with a few chips, a few scattered stains.
