Ray Bradbury. Fahrenheit 451. New York: Ballantine Books, Inc., [1953]. First hardcover edition. Signed by the author on the title page. Octavo. [vi], 199, [3] pages. Illustrated by Joe Mugnaini. Publisher's red boards lettered in yellow (Currey's binding D). White endpapers, all edges trimmed. Publisher's color pictorial dust jacket unclipped ($2.50). Housed in a custom red cloth clamshell backed in red leather, spine lettered in gilt.Condition: Mild edgewear to boards, spine ends a tad pushed, corners rubbed. Internally clean. Dust jacket somewhat toned, spine sunned as usually found, minor scuffing, a few short tears and some chips with minor losses at ends of spine panel. Near fine book in a very good dust jacket.
