Of this title, Bleiler writes, "certainly the most influential American literary eutopia." This story contains the parable of the stagecoach which is regarded as one of the best allegories against the capitalist system.

Condition: Spine just leaned; some darkening to spine ends and edges worn; small abrasion to bottom of front joint; corners worn. Light spotting to text, bookplate on front free endpaper; top edge a bit darkened.
