TRUE FIRST EDITION. "The first half of this tale was the only Burroughs book published in England before it was published in the US. The English publisher, Methuen published part one of The Mucker on October 6, 1921, 25 days before the McClurg American first edition" (Zeuschner). With three separately issued ads leaflets laid in.

Condition: Spine sunned; just leaned; touch of rubbing to spine; some scattered stains to boards. Front hinge starting. Dust jacket unclipped (priced "6/- " on spine); spine darkened; small dampstain on lower spine; chips and tears to edges; somewhat rubbed.
