Octavo. Publisher's color pictorial gray cloth stamped in black. Complete with five inserted plates, including frontispiece, by J. Allen St. John. Original illustrated dust jacket, also by J. Allen St. John.

FIRST EDITION, PRESENTATION COPY. INSCRIBED AND SIGNED on the front free endpaper recto by the author to his son two weeks before publication: "To Jack, write your own ticket, Love OB, Tarzana, August 15, 1934."

Condition: A few minor scuffs and stains to binding, touch of edgewear. Dust jacket unclipped ($2.00, priced on spine), some sunning to jacket, particularly to spine panel, a few scattered scuffs and stains, some chipping and short tears, cello tape repairs to top and bottom edges of jacket on both recto and verso, approximate 0.75 x 0.75-inch loss at head of spine panel.

Accompanied by a letter of authenticity signed by Linda Burroughs, wife of Danton Burroughs, who was the son of John Coleman (Jack) Burroughs, and grandson of Edgar Rice Burroughs.
