This anthology features eleven stories, written between 1946 and 1953, that exhibiting what Barron calls Clarke's "versatility" as a science fiction writer. Notably, this selection includes "The Sentinel" which served as the basis for the film and accompanying book, 2001: A Space Odyssey.

Condition: Dust jacket unclipped (priced "$2.00"); chips and tears to spine head with some loss; light toning to edges; slight wear to panels.
