Brian Aldiss (1925-2017) was a British author, editor, and critic whose prolific career helped define postwar science fiction in Britain and beyond. A longtime resident of Oxford, Aldiss is best remembered for works such as the Hothouse series and Helliconia, as well as for his influential anthologies and critical histories that shaped the modern understanding of the genre.

Condition: Pastedowns loose. Dust jacket unclipped (priced "16s net"); spine sunned; some chips and tears to edges; light stains to top edge of flaps and jacket verso.
