Richard Matheson. The Shrinking Man. London: David Bruce & Watson, [1973]. First hardcover edition. Octavo, cloth. A fine copy in very good dust jacket with two closed tears at top edge of front panel, 15 mm and 12 mm respectively, with associated horizontal crease and small chip, red ink on spine panel faded to pink, some internal tanning with no show through on outer surface, and just a bit of general dust soiling.More Information: "The classic SF horror tale of a man who steadily shrinks and shrinks until he disappears into a microcosmic world. There is some gobbledygook about atomic radiation being the cause of all this, but basically it's a psychological fantasy -- and a remarkably powerful one. " - Pringle, The Ultimate Guide to Science Fiction, second edition, p. 327. This Bruce and Watson edition includes an introduction by Kingsley Amis.
