Mexico: Imprenta de Don Felipe de Zúñiga y Ontiveros, 1787. First edition. Quarto (7.75 x 5.875 inches; 196 x 148 mm.). [28], 344 pages. Tipped-in woodcut portrait of Junípero Serra; decorated initials. Contemporary vellum binding, hand-lettering at spine; all text block edges trimmed. Normal age discoloration to vellum, with handful of wormholes scattered across surface; lower fore-edge loop closure split. Minor foxing at text block edges; text block starting to loosen from binding at rear hinge, but still sound for now; fairly extensive wormholing throughout. Still, very good with a clean, bright interior.
