Illuminated Leaf

[Illuminated Manuscript Leaf]. Scene of the Crucifixion. [N.p., n.d., circa eighteenth century]. Double-sided vellum leaf emulating an illuminated manuscript. One side with the scene of the Crucifixion, in red, blue, yellow, white, purple, green, and brown, framed in a gilt cartouche inside a gilt border. On the verso, manuscript text in Latin, in gold, blue, and black. Vellum puckered at edges of sheet; mild discoloration to text side. In generally fine condition. Leaf measures approximately 8.6875 x 6 inches; framed and glazed to an overall 23 x 19.5 inches.
