Garth Williams. Painting of unused dust jacket design for The Rabbits' Wedding.Garth Williams. Original watercolor of an unused dust jacket design for The Rabbits' Wedding, 1958. Pencil and watercolor on paper. 13.5 x 10.75 inches. Signed in full by Williams at lower right. Also with his notations in pencil: "Sky will be much less muggy - clearer and delicate" and "Rough sketch for cover - Bunny Love Story." Paper rippled along edges. Two horizontal creases across central portion of painting, apparently made by artist. Two paper clip indentations and small pin hole at top of sheet. A charming image in very good condition.
