With Portraits and Illustrations. In two volumes. (Boston: J.G. Cupples Co., 1890). First edition. Two octavo volumes (7.25" x 4.75"). Illustrated with fifteen wood engraved plates. Publisher's original rust cloth, decoratively stamped in black on the covers with an illustration of two men and a pack mule, gilt lettering on covers and spines. Floral endpapers. An excellent, near fine set, with just a few faint stains to the bottom edge of volume I and a bit of light rubbing around the binding edges.
