Limited edition, one of 1,980 copies, with two beautiful elephant folio color plate facsimiles. Two volumes: plate volume in elephant folio; commentary volume in quarto. Publisher's green half goatskin over cloth. Housed together in the publisher's cloth solander box. A fine copy of the first ever full-size facsimile (from the 1799 first edition) of the greatest English florilegium by Thornton.
