The Fourth James Bond Book, Inscribed by Fleming

Ian Fleming. Diamonds Are Forever. London: Jonathan Cape, [1956]. First edition, first printing. Inscribed and signed by the author, "To / Lionel / from / Ian / with affection" on the front free endpaper. Octavo. 257 pages. Publisher's black cloth binding with silver titles. Original pictorial dust jacket priced "12s. 6d. net." Slight bowing, light soiling and rubbing to the boards. Minor fading to the spine titles. Small bump to spine head. Mild bumping to corners. Some foxing to the first few and last few leaves, and along the text edges. Minimal foxing within the body of the text. Minor overall wear and rubbing to the jacket. Some tiny tape reinforcements to the verso of the jacket at the spine and flap fold ends. Miniscule puncture to the rear flap fold. Minimal loss to the extremities. Purple ink mark, mostly unobtrusive, through the jacket price. Overall, a very good copy of one of the tougher Bond titles to find inscribed.
