Description

Arthur À Beckett. Fallen Among Thieves. A Novel of "Interest." London: Chapman and Hall, 1870. First edition. Three octavo volumes. 296; 301; 281 pages. Publisher's full green cloth, boards decoratively paneled in blind, spines ruled and lettered in gilt, yellow-coated endleaves. Spines and board-edges uniformly toned, bindings worn and somewhat soiled. Endleaves slightly foxed, previous owner's signature on front free endpapers, binding tickets on rear pastedowns, evidence of sticker removal and an embossed stamp on the front endleaves of volume I. Some light occasional thumbsoiling and foxing to text, several gutters overopened. All volumes skewed. Still, very good.
