Octavo. xii, 266, [2, ads] pages. Frontispiece inserted. Publisher's full red cloth, boards ruled in blind, front board and spine decoratively stamped in gilt, coated brown endleaves. Spine a bit dull, some rubbing to binding, hinges cracked. Still, good. With the bookplate of the author's wife ("Mrs. Baring Gould") on the front pastedown. Housed custom-build quarter red morocco clamshell case.

This book is one of the most famous about werewolves in the English language.
