Charles Dickens. The Works of Charles Dickens. Boston: Estes & Lauriat, 1890. Edition de Luxe, limited to 1,000 numbered copies, this being "67." Forty-five octavo volumes of forty-eight. Modern half purple morocco over lavender cloth, gilt titles and raised bands on spines, top edges gilt. Silk endpapers. Spines somewhat darkened, boards and edges moderately rubbed and worn, affecting leather. Endpapers bit of soiling, page edges lightly toned. Bleak House Volume I has open tear along fore-edge of p. [ix/x]. Very good. From the library of Sylvester Stallone.
