George Orwell. Nineteen Eighty-Four. A Novel. London: Secker & Warburg, 1949.8vo. Publisher's green cloth, spine stamped in red; original dust jacket, green variant; clamshell.
FIRST EDITION, FIRST ISSUE.
Condition: Board ends and spine a little lightened. Dust jacket unclipped (priced "10s. net"); some edgewear with a few chips and short tears, some loss to tail end of spine panel; lightly rubbed with a few scuffs; not generally found this bright.
