Signed Limited Edition of A Farewell to Arms

Ernest Hemingway. A Farewell to Arms. New York: Charles Scribner's Sons, 1929. LIMITED EDITION, number 244 of 500, from a total edition of 510, signed by Ernest Hemingway on the limitation. Large octavo. Publisher's light blue-green paper covered boards, vellum backstrip and corners, black leather spine label lettered and decorated in gilt. Blue-green endpapers, uncut and untrimmed as issued. In publisher's original slipcase of decorative gold, black, and red printed paper over boards, red paper label numbered as the limitation. Book and slipcase both housed in a custom full morocco clamshell with inlays.

"This edition was signed by the author and issued simultaneously with the first regular edition," (Hanneman).

Condition: Some toning and minor wear to spine and spine label, minor toning and light scuffing to boards. A few minor spots internally. Some edgewear to publisher's slipcase.
