Description
Charles Dickens. David Copperfield. London: Bradbury & Evans, [1849-1850].8vo, 20 parts in 19. Illustrations by by H. K. Browne ("Phiz"). Publisher's blue-green wrappers. Housed in two matching custom pull-off cases of red crushed morocco, spines stamped in gilt.
FIRST EDITION IN THE ORIGINAL PARTS.
Condition: Minor edgewear to wrappers with some chipping, somewhat soiled, a few spines perished, three spines expertly renewed. Minor dampstaining to a few plates, scattered spotting throughout.

*Note: Ink ownership to the front wrapper top margin of Nos. IV, VII, X, XIV-XVII. Small ink stamp to lower right corner of the front wrapper of No. XI, tape residue to the front wrapper of No. XII.
