Octavo. x, 394, [2, ads] pages + 8 black and white plates after Arthur Twidle. Publisher's red cloth stamped in gilt.Condition: Moderate edgewear, corners bumped and rubbed, faint scattered staining, scuffed, spine sunned and rubbed. Hinges starting; pencil notation to front endleaves, some offsetting. Text block edges toned, foxed, top edge soiled, bottom edge untrimmed. Pages generally toned, foxed throughout, heavier to preliminaries, a few stray pencil marks, some thumbing, 3mm closed tear at top edge of final three leaves. Very good.
