A. E. Housman. Last Poems. London: Grant Richards Ltd., 1922.8vo. Original blue cloth-textured boards, upper cover and spine lettered in gilt, top edge gilt; publisher's printed dust jacket.
FIRST EDITION, FIRST ISSUE. SIGNED BY THE AUTHOR on the half-title. The first issue contains punctuation errors in first two lines on p. 52: no comma after "love" at end of first line, and missing the semicolon after "rain" at end of second line. With an autograph letter signed from Housman to Mr. Partridge, 15 August 1934, agreeing to sign his copy of Last Poems, one page, small 8vo (a little toned and faded).
Condition: Slightest fading to cloth at edges; minor spotting to text block edges. Dust jacket unclipped, soiled and with a few small chips.
Provenance: Mr. Partridge (autograph note from the author); purchased from Herbert F. West Bookseller, Hanover, NH, 11 September 1967.
