Three twelvemo volumes. x, 336; [ii], 320; [ii], 334, [2, ads] pages. Original boards, printed paper labels affixed to spines. Spines and spine labels somewhat dulled, with some chipping to edges of labels; joints starting with backstrip detached from front joint of first volume; mild wear to boards; few small splashes. Occasional light foxing to text-block. Bookplate to each front pastedown. Very good, well preserved for such a fragile item. Housed in custom clamshell. A fictional memoir written from the perspective of the stock character "Brother Jonathan." From the private collection of Stephen Lyle Boyd.
