Group of Nineteen Reproduction Prints Including one Bien Chromolithograph, One 2002 Restrike, and 18 Reproductions, all but one from the Amsterdam Edition ofThe Birds of America.[New York: J. Bien, 1860; and New York and Amsterdam: Johnson Reprint Corporation and Theatrum orbis terrarum, 1971-1972]. Comprising one chromolithographic print from the Bien edition of 1860: Smew or White Nun; No. 9-4; Plate 414; One 2002 restrike from the John James Audubon Museum in Henderson Kentucky: Tell-Tale Godwit or Snipe; No. 62, Plate CCCVIII (wrapper from the museum states: Greater Yellow Legs - so obviously in the wrong paper wrapper). The rest (with the exception of the last listed item) are from the Amsterdam edition (including two plates with duplicates), Double-elephant folio (approximately 39.5 x 26.5 inches; 1000 x 675 mm.). Attractive, illustrated prints, watermarked: G. Shut & Zonen. Loose leaves, unbound or disbound. Several leaves with wear to the edges from original binding, stab holes visible; some corners bumped; occasional faint marginal soiling, minor edgewear. Generally near fine.
