Second edition, with additions and corrections. Two quarto volumes. lxxxvii, 301; 363, plus xvi plates. Three hand-colored plates and engraved title page vignettes. One folding genealogical chart.
Half-bound in modern sprinkled calf over marbled paper boards. Red and green title labels on spines; gilt lettering and rules . Laid paper. Dampstain in Volume I affecting about eighteen pages at the front and affecting the last hundred or so pages; dampstaining throughout Volume II, most predominantly to the plates at the end of the volume. Tears to a couple of pages, including around the platemark of the vignette on the first title page of Volume I. Bindings tight. The handsome bindings are in fine condition, the contents in very good condition.
