Oblong quarto. 173 pages. Illustrated with a color frontispiece and sixteen full-page plates by Smith, some in color. Many illustrations in the text. Black cloth over boards. White lettering to the spine. A color pictorial onlay to the front board. Three tiny nicks to cover plate, else fine in original box, which is missing one end flap to the lid.
