Company Inc., 1974.8vo. Publisher's printed paper wrappers. Accompanied by a first edition dust jacket.
ADVANCED READING COPY of the author's first book. PRESENTATION COPY, INSCRIBED BY THE AUTHOR TO DAVID ARONOVITZ on title-page: "To David - my firstborn child - Stephen King 6/3/83." With publisher's code "O50" printed in the gutter on final page of text.
RARE. Only a handful of advanced reading copies of this title have appeared at auction; we can trace only one other inscribed example appearing at auction, sold in these rooms in 2012.

Condition: Mild toning and light soiling to wrappers; minor edgewear. Dust jacket unclipped (priced "$5.95"); closed tears along edges and folds repaired with tape on verso; some dampstaining at bottom edges and small areas on spine panel; a few creases; some rubbing and wear at head of spine panel; minor wear along flap folds.
