H. P. Lovecraft. Beyond the Wall of Sleep. Sauk City: Arkham House, 1943. First edition of the second collection of Lovecraft's work, and the fourth publication by Arkham House. One of approximately 1,200 copies printed. Octavo. xxix, 458 pages. Publisher's full black cloth over boards, spine ruled and lettered in gilt. A previous owner preemptively reinforced the verso of the dust jacket with narrow strips of tape at the top and bottom edges of the spine and flap folds; otherwise, an outstandingly fresh and clean jacket.
