Original full leather with blind-stamped state seal on front board. Spine in five compartments with gilt titles on red leather label. Binding quite worn, with head of spine all but detached from binding; leather rubbed, worn, and scarred. Boards bowed. Pages are foxed and dampstained. A few terminal pages wormed. Some pages loose; a few torn. Top third of final (blank) leaf missing. Some staining to page edges. Inked writing to front free endpaper; pencil name and address to recto of leaf preceding Preface. Good.

The third compilation of Texas laws, and the final compilation published before the Civil War. Referenced in Basic Texas Books in the citation on Gammel's Laws of Texas. Essential to any Texas legal library.
