"Dear Mr. Edmonton, If as I presume our engagement stands as I put it -- 25 guineas per lecture, and half the profits [--] I should like to settle as soon as possible the time of going down to the North again. Good Friday is the 10 April: and I would rather come to Scotland in March than in February and have a chance of being rid of the cold -- and I might take a few places as my backwards & northwards. The houses here are not so great as with you, but the Lecture Room was quite full and there is already talk of supplemental lectures. Let me know as soon as possible. Here this week [at?] 8.9. Mechanics Institute Bradford. Afterwards care of A. Radcliffe Esq: Northunberland Terrace. Everton Liverpool. Yours always WM Thackeray."
