Hand-colored print depicting a couple after fifty years of marriage. The husband content, while the wife expresses her boredom. W. Dendy Sadler painted modern people in daily leisure activities. Sadler was often criticized for short-changing the emotional impact of his subject matter by relying too much on the detailed depiction of his Victorian interiors.
