Description

One of Only 2,000 Copies Printed at the Hogarth Press

Virginia Woolf. Mrs. Dalloway. London: The Hogarth Press, 1925.

First edition. Octavo. 293 pages.

Deep rust-colored buckram over boards, top board bordered with thin blind rule, spine lettered in gilt. Plain endpapers. Binding slightly skewed, small indentation and bump to the spine cloth just below top lettering, and another slight bump just above the lettering. Light spotting to the top edge, with some larger spots to the fore-edge of the sheets. Endpapers lightly browned, slightly over-opened after page 288, two small faint stains to gutter after page 292. Bookplate of O. C. Skinner affixed to the front pastedown. Despite these minor flaws, this is still an attractive copy in very good condition.

Kirkpatrick states that approximately 2,000 copies were printed and published on May 14, 1925.

Kirkpatrick A9.
