Description

Robert A. Heinlein. Orphans of the Sky. London: Victor Gollancz Ltd., 1963.

First edition (preceding the first American edition). Twelvemo. 160 pages.

Brick red cloth with gilt spine titles. Light shelf wear. Price-clipped jacket with negligible wear. A beautiful copy in fine condition offered in a custom clamshell case. The beautiful cloth-covered case features a morocco spine label with gilt titles.

Of particular note is that this copy has retained the original publisher's dust jacket band reading "Gollancz SF Gollancz Choice for March". Certainly there can be few copies which have managed to retain this scarce original feature. Originally published in 1941 as a two-part serial in Astounding Science Fiction. From the Robert and Diane Yaspan Collection.
