Hugh Walters. Two UK First Editions, including: Moon Base One; Mission to Mercury. London: Faber and Faber [1961-1965].First UK hardcover editions. Two octavo volumes.
Moon is blue cloth with white spine titles. Mission is brown cloth with gilt spine titles. Dust jackets. Moon is overall fine. Mission is overall very good with some staining on the paper edges and dust jacket. Born Walter Llewelyn Hughes in England's West Midlands, Hugh Walters (1910-1993) began writing science-fiction at age 47, for the simple reason that he thought he could do much better than authors he previously had read. Eventually he would complete a total of 20 novels. This lot includes his fourth and ninth efforts, respectively. From the Robert and Diane Yaspan Collection.
