George Orwell: Nineteen Eighty-Four [1984]. (London: Secker & Warburg, 1949), first edition, 312 pages, green cloth with red lettering on spine, 12mo (5" x 7.5"), dust jacket (in protective Mylar). This seminal dystopian novel from Orwell introduced the world to Big Brother, and remains a powerful and influential statement against totalitarianism.
