Saturn's Rings is black cloth with red spine titles. Ninth Planet is blue cloth with navy-blue spine titles. Illustrated endpapers. Dust jackets. Some foxing in paper. Minor wear on bindings. Overall near fine. Dust jackets have some wear and clipped corners on front flaps. Donald Allen Wollheim (1914-1990) was at the forefront of science-fiction fandom in the United States. In 1953 he introduced the genre to Ace Publishing, and was responsible for the first three-volume paperback edition of Tolkien's Lord of the Rings published in the U.S. This lot includes two of his best novels, published by Winston. From the Robert and Diane Yaspan Collection.
