Covers decoratively panelled in blind with a two-line outer border and an ornamental rectangular frame. Spine decoratively stamped in blind and ruled and lettered in gilt with "Price 5/-" in gilt at the foot. Original pale yellow coated endpapers (faded). Front board detached. Boards soiled and noticeably worn. Spine ends chipped. Spine slightly cocked. Corners chipped and rubbed. Bookplate to front pastedown. Ink gift inscription to front free endpaper. Scattered foxing throughout. Some creasing and mild wrinkling to textblock.
