Publisher's light brown cloth with titles printed in black on the front board and spine. Corners lightly bumped, with trivial soiling to the front board and modest wear to the spine ends. Contents clean and tight. Very good.
During the 1920s Houdini used his magic training to expose spiritualists, mediums and other purveyors of the supernatural so pervasive and popular with the general public at the time. He was a member of a Scientific American committee that offered a cash prize to any medium who could successfully demonstrate supernatural abilities - the prize was never collected.
