Some bumping to the corners, slight rubbing to the covers, very minor sunning to the spine, some notations on the endpapers. Altogether a very good copy. Edward John Moreton Drax Plunkett, 18th Baron of Dunsany (1878 - 1957) originally published this collection of fantasy short stories in 1915 by Elkin Mathews in London. It was later reissued in 1974 by Newcastle Publishing Company as The Food of Death: Fifty-One Tales, as part of their notable Newcastle Forgotten Fantasy Library. [and:] Five Plays: The Gods of the Mountiani, The Golden Doom, King Argimenes and the Unknown Warrior, The Glittering Gate, the Lost Silk Hat. By Lord Dunsany. New York: Mitchell Kennerley, MCMXIV [1914]. Octavo. xii, 116 pages. Publisher's wine red cloth covers with the front cover ruled and lettered in blind-stamped, the back cover is blind-stamped with the publisher's monogram. The spine is lettered in gilt. Some bumping to the corners, slightly rubbed covers, sunned spine. Altogether a very good copy. This work was originally published by Grant Richards in 1914. This copy was part of the Modern Drama Series, edited by Edwin Bjorkman.
