Photoplay edition with scenes from the Universal film directed by James Whale and starring Boris Karloff. Octavo. xiv, 240 pages. Six inserted illustrations from the movie and a frontispiece featuring Boris Karloff as Frankenstein. Publisher's red cloth with titles stamped in black. Top edge stained green. Dust jacket illustrated by Mach Tey. Boards with modest shelfwear and slightly bumped corners. Front hinge cracked but the text block and binding are tight. Contents clean with one plate loose. The jacket art remains bright with some toning to the spine and rear panel. Generally a very good copy of this desirable edition.
