Twenty-eight octavo volumes (of thirty-two). Colored frontispieces with tissue guards. Many black and white illustrations.. Limited to 1000 numbered copies, this being 953.
Original red half-morocco and marbled paper over boards. Marble endpapers. Top edges gilt. Some scuffing to the extremities of the bindings. The upper panel of the spine of one volume torn, but complete. In very good condition.
