Booker T. Washington. Frederick Douglass. Philadelphia and London: George W. Jacobs & Company, 1907. 8vo. With frontispiece portrait of Douglass, blue cloth over boards and gilt title on spine. Part of the "American Crisis Biographies" series. With ownership signature of Arthur N. Leeds in pencil on front end paper. Leeds was a prominent Quaker in the Philadelphia area in the early 1900s.

Condition: Front hinge cracked, repaired tear to front pastedown; toning and foxing to preliminary pages. Pencil notation at gutter on rear end paper. Rear pastedown also exhibits tearing. Text block remains sound. Sunning to spine, with tears at top.
